This inaugural clay tennis tournament sanctioned by ATP was held the week of August 28, 2017. The tournament player list included five players in the top 150 world ATP ranking and players from over 16 countries. The event was held in Club Rancho San Francisco one of the most prestigious clubs in South America. The official hotel was Dann Carlton a 5 star hotel in the heart of Quito. Additional events included players party held in Quito´s historic center, kid´s day and clinic with four players, women´s clinic with a NextGen player, and innovative activation activities for players, sponsors and fans such as autographed balls dropped by a flying drone. During the tournament, three theme fairs were organized: tourism, real state and local innovative products. A dynamic food court was set-up with food trucks and local microbreweries.

The tournament singles champion was the young Chilean player Nicolás Jarry, currently ranked in the top 100 of the world ATP ranking. Jarry also played the final of the doubles championship partnering with the local Ecuadorian player Roberto Quiroz.
